Sotaro Fukaishi, the finest Euphonium player in Japan, was inspired by the ethos of English Brass Academy and now offers the opportunity to all brass musicians to work, rehearse and perform with two of the finest brass performers from the UK, Paul Archibald (trumpet) and Richard Wainwright (french horn).
This international event will also allow Paul and Richard to work alongside distinguished teachers from Japan in the excellent location of Niigata, a few hours north west of Tokyo.
Due to the huge success of the first English Brass Academy in Japan in 2016 Sotaro and Paul are delighted to announce the second EBA in Japan which will take place in January 2018.

The city of Niigata is two hours away from the capital Tokyo by bullet train. It has a rich natural environment including the Sea of Japan, the Shinano River, the Agano River, lagoons and wetlands.
Konan Ward is located in central Niigata City and its fertile fields produce a multitude of rice-based products such as rice crackers by Kameda Seika, a leading manufacturer in the rice cracker market and one of Japan’s most popular confectionery.

President: Sotaro Fukaishi
Vice president: Masanori Iwasaki
Consultant for EBA: Paul Archibald
