Summer Brass Academy Šibenik is for advanced brass players keen to take their playing to the next level. Working with world class tutors, the Festival offers individual coaching, classes and concerts. It's an intensive week of playing but with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the glorious environment of this ancient coastal town.

Paul Archibald invites you to perform with him and a star-studded line up of international brass players in one of the most idyllic locations in Europe - Šibenik, an historic town in Croatia located by the Adriatic Sea. Concert performances in:

• Šibenik Town Square
• Cathedral of St. James

English Brass Academy is collaborating with The Croatian Association of Trombone & Tuba Players to offer rehearsals, classes and concerts for brass players (minimum age 16 years), performing in historic and beautiful locations on the Šibenik Riviera. Accommodation is available to book in hostels and hotels situated in or near the centre of the town. Prices begin from around £20. Early booking is recommended. Šibenik has excellent restaurants, bars and cafés so there a is plenty of choice if you are looking for an excellent culinary experience! The Šibenik Summer Brass Academy is an international event for brass musicians of all ages and experience. Founded in 2015, in collaboration with English Brass Academy, the Summer Brass Academy is a family of brass musicians from all over the globe.

The Šibenik Summer Brass Academy is managed by the Croatian Association of Trombone and Tuba players - Busina, under the artistic direction of the two principal musicians of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, Ivan Bošnjak and Željko Kertez. In collaboration with some of the most famous instrument makers like the Buffet Group, Yamaha, Thein, Jurgen Voigt and others, the Summer Academy brings to you some of the best brass musicians in the world.

Šibenik is located in central Dalmatia beside the Adriatic coast and is one of the most beautiful and culturally-rich areas in Croatia, well known for its many historical monuments. Its two National Parks - Kornati, an archipelago with about 150 small islands and Krka, a river famous for its numerous waterfalls - offer a varied and rich landscape. Prehistoric and Roman settlements to medieval and renaissance forts and buildings, combined with a glorious Mediterranean climate. Some of the most famous cultural-historical monuments include:

General information
• The nearest airport is Split, approximately 1 hour journey to Šibenik.
• There are buses from Split to Šibenik however taxis are relatively cheap. Prices are in the region of $65 (£45) for a one-way journey. Taxi shares may be possible depending on arrival and departure times.
